Michael T. Russo
Mike has over 28 years of experience in the ﬁnancial services industry, including over 10 years as an Investment Advisor Representative. This experience has afforded Mike the knowledge to help his clients meet their ﬁnancial and retirement goals. He has seen all too often that many families don’t have a plan to get them through retirement without outliving their income. At Millstone Financial Group, Mike’s purpose is to help his clients not only understand the investments they own, but to provide his clients with what we believe are sound investment management philosophies and proven retirement distribution strategies.
Mike graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in finance. He immediately went to work on Wall Street for Brown Brothers Harriman. During his tenure at Brown Brothers Harriman, Mike was recruited to work as an asset-based ﬁnancial advisor at Metlife, where he spent the next 12 years. It was there that Mike developed his passion for the ﬁnancial markets, portfolio analysis, and asset allocation. In 2012, Mike moved on from Metlife to begin the process of creating Millstone Financial Group. Mike’s main responsibility is managing the ﬁrm’s assets. He is an Investment Advisor and a Fiduciary which means he’s legally obligated to do what is in the best interest of the client, always. Above all else, Mike’s goal is to help clients minimize overall risk exposures and create personalized investment management strategies.
Mike was raised in a modest household, where family always came ﬁrst. He attributes his success to both of his parents who were hard working. They instilled core values and integrity which he prides himself on every day.
Mike has been married to his wife Maryann since 1992. They reside in Howell with their three children, Matt, Craig, and Kellie. Mike is an avid sports fan and golfer. He is also a member of Battleground Country Club and enjoys being out on the course or having dinner with good friends and clients.
